How long has Blush Brides been established?
Blush Brides was born in 2007. Back then, I had no idea that Blush Brides would become so popular! The first year I was so happy that 27 brides booked me for their weddings. Today we look after hundreds of brides each year.
What’s the best thing about what you do?
I absolutely love seeing the smiles on our brides faces, when they see how fabulous they can look. I get told so many times each year, things like “I never knew I could look that good!”
The love letters that we get after the weddings really are also one of the best parts.
We understand that once the wedding is over, the bride is on her honeymoon, getting into married life and having a ball, so when she takes the time to send us a note to say “Thank you!” it really is wonderful and makes me all warm and fuzzy.
It really is such an honor to be part of someone’s most special day.
What type of Brides usually book you?
Brides Just like YOU!
Many of our brides, don’t usually wear a lot of makeup themselves. They are looking for a makeup artist that can do a gorgeous natural style, but have it look amazing n their photos, and last the whole night.
The brides that usually book us are not willing to settle for anything but the best, and don’t want to risk looking “overdone” on their wedding day.
She is a bride searching for the best service providers that she will trust, to help create her magical, once in a life time day.
She loves the natural look, but doesn’t mind a touch of glamour.
She wants to look and feel more beautiful than she ever thought possible on her wedding day.
What type of Brides are NOT suited to Blush Brides?
Blush Brides is not suitable for brides who don’t “value” how they will look and feel on their wedding day.
Brides that are looking for someone, who will turn up on the wedding day, slap some makeup on and then leave…. should NOT book us for their wedding day.
If you are looking for makeup that is so thick and dark, you may mistaken for a character in a stage production…. then also don’t book Blush Brides.
What happens if I don’t know what I want yet?
Never fear, you have plenty of time!
Most brides secure their wedding date with us 8-12 months out from heir wedding.
The most important thing you can do is secure your wedding date NOW.
Blush Brides only secures your date once a deposit this paid. This means your date could disappear if you leave it too long to book!
Once you have booked, you have loads of time to collect magazine photos of different hair and makeup styles you like.
You can even make scrapbook if you like.
If it gets time for your trial appointment (approx 4 – 6 weeks prior to your wedding day) and you are still unsure of what you like … Your stylists will help guide you on what will suit best.
They will consider all sorts of things such as the time of year, your colours, your wedding theme, if its a daytime or evening wedding and so fourth. Together, you will work out something you will be completely in LOVE with.
How are you different from the other hair and makeup artists?
Very different! Ok, let me explain…
- Most people out there offering hair and makeup services are a one man (I mean women in most cases) band. Blush Brides is a dedicated team of stylists, who specialize in weddings. We operate on a full time basis, and even have our lovely Bookings coordinator Jenell here to help you all the way through your time with us.
- Many businesses only offer hair OR makeup. Blush Brides is the luxury of being able to book hair and makeup with the ONE company. This saves you the hassle and time of having to search out the two different services, wondering if the two stylist will get along, hoping that they work together well, and can be flexible with each other. Booking Blush Brides means that you will have stylist that work seamlessly together as a team to keep you on time, relaxed and completely gorgeous.
- Many business don’t offer touch up products or packages. Blush Brides knows that a bride can’t be sent off to her 8- 10 hour long wedding day unprepared! We offer our Platinum Package which ensure that you will be able to make quick touch ups if your lippy and powder where needed through out the day. It can get quite hot and sweaty outside having your photos taken on the beach or among the vineyards for hours at a time. Trust me, its very hand to have some touch ups available.
- We specialize in NATURAL looking makeup and hair. Blush Brides is famous for creating natural looking hair and makeup styles. Our makeup is applied in way that will give you great coverage , without being thick or caked on. Your hair will look soft and full of volume, but will have the staying power to last all night.
- It’s important to trust experience. Blush Brides stylists have years of creating beautiful brides. They have all been hand picked for perfection and trained by me. We have the experience of hundreds and hundreds of weddings over the years, as well as having our work featured in many bridal magazine fashion shoots and beauty editorials.
